How does it work?

Quick overview…

Our anti-noise controller creates a bubble of comfort around a given space, within which the lower frequencies of sound disturbance are attenuated significantly. Quietys solutions are based on an active control approach that reduces noise by producing an opposite, canceling noise. Innovative Quietys technology attacks both industrial and environmental noise pollution.

More details

The Quietys noise reducing system uses a digital controller, sensors and electro-acoustic transducers.

The controller creates destructive interference that is propagated by the electro-acoustic transducers to generate a localized anti-noise zone around the electro-acoustic sensors.

The results are clear: disturbance from the primary noise source(s) is reduced immediately.

These steps are followed in order to create a bubble of comfort:

  1. The initial noise is captured using one or more sensors (called reference sensors).
  2. Noise is analyzed and anti-noise is created by the controller.
  3. Anti-noise is produced by the speaker.
  4. Efficiency is measured by one or more sensors (called control sensors) and the information is processed again in order to improve noise reduction.

Based on generating waves with an opposite phase from the target noise waves, this concept is generally used to handle low frequencies.

Several versions of the Quietys anti-noise controller are available, with single- or multi-channel models (with several secondary sources and control sensors) to provide maximum disturbance reduction.
